Free Grant Writing Workshop

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development is sponsoring a free two-day workshop on grant writing. The training is specifically for faith-based and community organizations, with registration on a first-come, first-served basis.

Date: July 22 - 23, 2008
Location: Community Campus; 100 Campus Drive; Portsmouth.

There is no cost for the training or materials, but participants are expected to pay for their own food, travel and lodging (if any).

A Frameworks Youth Suicide Postvention Training For Clergy and Faith Leaders

The Frameworks Project is a National Best Practice Program in suicide prevention.

These workshops are specifically designed to provide clergy and lay leaders of faith communities with tools for responding to the tragedy of suicide in the community. Though focused on youth suicide, the skills learned can be applied across the lifespan.
