Putting the Pieces Together: Faith, Aging and Mental Health. A discussion with clergy, lay leaders, volunteers, seniors/elders and their caregivers of various faith traditions about making our community life more welcoming and helpful for persons with mental illness and those who love them. We're sharing our stories and concerns that our elders/seniors can sometimes get left out of our church's life once they become homebound or need to live in a healthcare or other facility. When mental health issues are added to the mix, do our fears and prejudices take over and loneliness or rejection prevail? Come share your story and your "best practices".
